Shout Unto God

With Easter coming up, I wanted to share with you one of my favorite songs. I think it is very appropriate considering what happened on that day some 2000 years ago.

It goes a little something like this:

The enemy has been defeated, Death couldn't hold you down, We're gonna lift our voice in victory, We're gonna make your praises loud, Shout unto God with a voice of triumph, Shout unto God with a voice of praise, Shout unto God with a voice of triumph, Shout unto God with a voice of praise, We lift your name up, We lift your name up

It's simple, yet so powerful. You repeat it numerous times, and each time for me, it gets more powerful. The first time I sang it with other people, and not just loudly in my car, was at a CIY Believe for JR. Highers. There's nothing like singing with 13 year olds who have not really experienced the cruelness of the world yet, and still think it's cool to sing their hearts out to God. It was so powerful, and so sweet sounding. I was in awe, and I was humbled before this man, Jesus, that we were singing about.

Please remember that God is faithful, and he keeps his promises. He loves you, and he will fight for you.

Just wait for Molly to start singing - I can only imagine how great that will be - I remember the days of Kids Praise in the car - you are right there's something to be said about repeating a chorus over again, it becomes powerful. Mom
