Can You Be Too Wise?

Happy Monday to you all!  Hope you had a great weekend, and a have something fun planned for this week.  We are planning on taking Molly to a pumpkin patch, but the day we picked, it's supposed to rain.  But we might chance it anyways.  Then my Mom is coming for a visit this weekend.  We always love when Grandma comes, especially me!

Today when I was at the gym, which let me tell you, it was brutal!  I have kinda been slacking off lately, okay, the past couple of months, and now I am trying to get back on track, and all I have to say is ouch!  I used to be able to go run 3 miles on the track there, no problem, today I thought I was going to die!  Seriously, I thought I was having a heart attack or something.  Clearly I am fine, and probably being over-dramatic, can a woman be over-dramatic? :)  Ha!  Back to the gym, I met a very nice lady there almost a year ago.  Her twin daughters are literally a month younger then Molly.  So I would see her time to time dropping off or picking up the kids.  We would chat briefly, and you know, go on our merry way.  Last Spring she invited me to her church's Summer Bible study, and I was going to go, but it started when everything with my step-dad happened, so naturally I could not go.  But now she has invited me to go with her this Fall.  They are starting a new study in Wednesday, guess what they are studying...Proverbs.  I find it ironic that I started reading a Proverb a day and blogging about it here.

This all leads me to this...God must think I need more wisdom.  I feel like everywhere I turn there are sayings from Proverbs on the screen at church, I am reading them everyday, even my little inspirational calendar had a Proverb on it yesterday.  I must not be wise, at all!  So I think I am going to go with her and check it out.  I am the only one not from her church, so this might be a little odd, but I am going to try it.  So by the end who knows, maybe I will be a Proverbs scholar!  Probably not, and I obviously did not soak up the one verse about pride...hmm...

What are you studying?

Funny how He lays that before you, huh? Great that you never fail to see it!

We just concluded the Book of James at church. One of the easiest books to understand, and yet can be the easiest to accidentally lose sight of.

Thanks for sharing!

Kate.. I so enjoyed reading your post today. In my Bible time today, I was in Proverbs 8 & 9.. and I was asking God to help me have a teachable spirit, and to gain more wisdom. It was neat to read your post today about Wisdom. The Bible says that he who asks for wisdom and is meek will get it.
And as far as the gym- LOL- I hear ya' sister!!
I have been going regularly for a few months, and I still huff and puff!
Hang in there.. you'll get it again soon!
Thanks for the great post today!

I'm totally with you, Kate! My Titus 2 post tomorrow is on Esther, which I've been studying in a Bible Study group. I've learned soooo much about seeking counsel and advice from others before acting. And on being more careful of what I say. Yeah, I speak impulsively sometimes and it's not pretty.

I'm enjoying reading Proverbs with you, too!!

LOL! I would probably die after running for 3 minutes, much less 3 miles! Ha!

I hope you have fun at the bible study....that is neat how God arranged that.

Good job on working hard at the gym. I've been going on my daily walks still, so for me that's a step in the right direction!

What am I studying...Proverbs of course!
