Happy Birthday to Billy!

**Disclaimer-if you do not like animals, please don't read this, because I love my cat and I will be that crazy cat lady someday**

Today is my kitty cat, Billy's 4th birthday!  I will be honest, we weren't sure he would make it to 4.  He was the little runt of the litter, and slept in his litter box for a long time at the humane society before we adopted him.  So Lord knows what he could have picked up from there!

He was born October 15, 2005, on a farm, along with a ton of other kittens.  He was originally named Texas, but we obviously changed it to something a lot more sophisticated, like Billy.  Eric got him for me for my 22nd birthday, in hopes that a cat would fend me over for a little while longer before wanting a baby.  Nine months later, I was pregnant with Molly.

Before we had Molly, we were told numerous times we would probably not be biological parents due to some womanly issues that have plagued me.  So when we adopted Billy I loved him like my first born.  I sometimes refer to him as my first born.

We got Billy declawed before we moved into our first house and low and behold, the poor thing has a bleeding disorder we never knew about.  So he does not clot blood.  So after a week long stay in the hospital, a blood transfusion, many rounds of anti-biotics, and moths of steroids, he made a full recovery.

When we first brought Molly home from the hospital, Billy would instantly vomit when she cried.  So one of us would have to get the baby, and the other one would have to get the cat.  We should have known, because every time we would get a gift for Molly before she was born, Billy would sniff it, then throw up.  He is very high maintenance!  Billy also gets tuna once a day, because in the hospital, that is all they could get him to eat.  Despite not liking Molly a lot at first, they are now best friends.  Especially now that she knows where his treats are, and can give them to him.  He lets Molly do whatever she wants to him and he never complains.  Probably because he knows if he ever tries anything, Eric would kick him out.

I would love to share some pictures of Billy with you.  All my earlier ones are in a box, out in the garage.  So you will have to get ones from like 2007 and on.  Enjoy!

So one realization I have made is that I have way too many pictures of the cat!  Ha!  So here's to Billy on his first 4 years of life, and here's to many more!

Aw, this is so sweet! I don't think you're crazy, although I don't really like cats myself. :) I got toxoplasmosis from a cat several years back and now I'm partially blind...so I try to keep my distance from them. lol. Anyway, I'm so glad he and Molly are good friends now! :) Happy Birthday Billy!!

I love it! Happy Birthday, Billy! We have two dogs, and they're definitely like our kids right now. But sadly, I have no idea what their exact birthdays are. We celebrate the month! :) Love that Molly's buddies with Billy, too!!

Hey Kate!

The Christmas signs are just made from scrapbooking scraps leftover from other projects. I'd be happy to make one for you and send it if you leave me a comment or email me which one you would like. :)

What a cute post, Kate! I am more of a dog person, but that is just so special the bond you have with Billy.

When I looked at all the pics on this post, I was so excited to see that both Molly and Audrey have the same nursery set. I loved the colors in the Tropical Punch set so that's what I picked out! So cute!

P.S. So glad you like the C.D.
