So this week I was inspired by
Sarah to do a craft project. Inspiration usually comes easy to me, finishing the project however, does not. I always get these great ideas, go buy all of the supplies, get started, and then realize, I am not crafty! Eric has now learned to not say a word, and just go with it. I think I get it from my Mom. She was going to make me an apron when I was like 7, we bought this cool sunflower fabric and a pattern. She traced everything out, measured me, etc. Ask me how much I enjoyed wearing that apron...not at all, because she never sewed it. She probably still has it all in a box somewhere. Maybe Molly will have a sunflower apron someday.
So I got inspired, bought a couple things, found a couple things I had around the house already-imagine that, and got to work. This is one of my few finished projects, so here are the rules, please don't look too hard, because the flaws are blatantly obvious, and I am awful at tracing, as you will see. But it's finished and that's all that counts!
Before...
After...
That's my big ta-da! I used a paint pen to trace my letters, and it was still wet in the pictures, so hopefully once it dries, they look a little bit more crisp. Thanks for being good sports, I knew I could count on you all!

Precious! Great job! I totally understand what you mean. I intend to make a lot of great crafty things. But they're never as cute as my friend's stuff!!
Oh that turned out SO cute!! I love your little string on the top to hang it. What did you use for your background?
Nice work!
You did a great job! I think it is adorable!! Now if your mom can just finish that apron already! lol
way cute. you're going to have to teach me all your blogging tricks :) i'm awful at this! and like i needed another thing to help me procrastinate ;)
I love it! It turned out soo cute! What is the back of it? A canvas or something?
You did an awesome job, it looks wonderful.
I think that is super cute. Great job.
Kate! So crafty you really are! You have had this in you for all this time. Tell Sarah her idea is adorable, and you did a great job!
I Love it... thanks for sharing your craftiness with us Martha!!
Beautiful!
I think you did a great job! You should see all the many things I've started and not finished because I couldn't get it to turn out right! I think your sign looks adorable!
I had this idea I was going to do the silver jewelry with the stamped letters....well, I'm just no good at it! LOL! I mess up too much and that silver is expensive! It turned out to be too expensive of a hobby for me, since I ended up messing up 3 pieces of silver for every 1 that turned out halfway decent. Ha!
You did a great job! It looks like something our crafty friend Kim would do!
I just wanted to reply to your sweet comment on my post today...don't be fooled by my "prim and proper" clothes in the pictures :) We always take them on Sunday after church. Believe me, I don't always dress up. Normally I'm in athletic pants and t-shirts :)
I think it turned out cute! I can completely relate to you though! I have all these cute ideas in my head but it never turns out exactly how I want it to!
Looks like you did a pretty good job to me! I'm pretty hard on myself too, so I can totally relate, but from what I can see, it looks great!
Look at you! That's sooo cute!
Lovely. Wish I could finish a project around here :o)
