Weekend Randomness

Hello out there :)

Today has been a day of research and Christmas gift buying.  I have been overwhelmed looking at all of the bedding possibilites for Molly's new big girl bed.  I think Eric is going to make her a daybed, with some storage drawers underneath it.  At least for now, that is what we have decided.  So hopefully she will sleep in it before she gets married. It might be awhile.  But that is a whole nother story for a whole nother post.

I have a basic idea of what I want, and a really good idea of what we don't want for her bed.  We are not into characters, like not at all, so there will be no Elmo or Backyardigans going on in her room.  But I also like some other patterns and prints in pink and brown, but in a couple years from now, will those still be cool?  I have decided there are too many choices!  I found a cute quilt at Target that's not too expensive, so if in a year or two, I change my mind, we could afford to get something different.  Not that it's my bed, it's Molly's, but she trusts my fashion choices.

You all should check this out...

I ordered some Christmas presents from her, and I am so excited to see them!  I would tell you what I got, but since the people who I got them for read my blog, I will keep it a secret.  Don't worry, when they open them, I will post the pics to let you know what they got.  So go to the website and check it out.  I actually found all of her stuff on her Etsy site, rather than her website, so check her stuff out there.

And To Whom It May Concern- I do not appreciate whoever it was that taught my daughter to spit, particularly-spitting on me.  She will bend over and act like she is going to kiss your hand or leg, then whoops, just spits on you!  Gross!  I tried explaining that spitting is dirty, naughty, meant to do outside, and definitely not something you do to your Mom!  So whichever little kid out there taught Molly this, I am coming for you!

Have you all put your Christmas stuff up yet?  I live with Scrooge, and he is trying to convince me that we don't need a Christmas tree this year.  He is so funny to think I will go along with that.  Silly Scrooge!  Part of the ba-hum-bugness comes from that we have to walk all the way around our building to get to our garage, climb up a ladder and pull down umpteen boxes and carry them back up to our apartment.  So I see a little bit of where he is coming from, but I still love Christmas decorations and decorating our house!  Maybe I will live vicariously through you all, and your Christmas decorations.

Have a great weekend, friends!  Eric and I have been working on my website...oh wait, did I forget to mention that I am officially in business as a Clinical Christian Counselor?!  What you ask, oh yes, I am official.  I have a name and everything...Restoration Counseling, LLC.  The LLC stands for Limited Liability Company, for you none business people like me!  This whole new business adventure has been just that, an adventure!  I am learning as I go, and I am going very slow!  So once my website is up and running, I will let you all know.  Until then...the doctor is out!

AWESOME on your business! Love the name. Yay! So much fun. Tell Scrooge, even Scrooge needs a tree! And cool about Molly's bed (if it's finished before she gets married!!! that's great). I don't like characters at all for room and beds. Well, for most things. Bella does for certain items, but for kid tables, bedding, walls, beds - none for me. My parents are buying her a comforter set for her bed (she had a full size) and they are having amazing deals at jcpenny.com - if you look in the bedding and also the bed in a bag. Some sets that were over 200 are now around 60. They have elegant ones, bright colored ones, fun ones - we found one for Bella. If you're looking for something that doesn't cost an arm and a leg (even Target's quilts are priced kind of high) this might interest you!
Can't wait to learn more about your business.

ps...tell me if Molly drinks the sore throat thing. Bella drinks water and milk period. She refuses to drink the cinnamon!

That is awesome about her getting a daybed made for her. Can't wait to see pictures. I love Target's bedding...I am sure her big girl room will be cute. I am not into character things either.

I'm not into the characters either and when we pick out a bedding for Kyndra when she's in a big girl bed it won't have them.

That would be a pain getting all those decorations outta there but it'll be worth it!

Congrats on your new business! can't wait to see the website!

Oh I am excited that Molly is gonna get a brand new bed! One that is built by dad and decked out by mommy! What a blessed little one!

Now the spitting thing is not so cute! Isn't it strange how kids pick up things like that? Hope it goes away as quickly as it came! (:>)

I hope you can get at least some of your Christmas stuff up before "Scrooge" poops out on the entire idea. Ha! (You are funny)

It is a lot of work for just a month of enjoyment,...but always worth it.

Thanks for your comment on my Six Words Sat. post. We all had a blast at our... Family Thanksgiving Gathering. Lots of yummy food...(And I have leftovers! Yeah!!!)

Your business? That is so great!

Have fun with Molly's bed. I love decorating so I always purchase something on the cheap side of things because a year or so from now I will want to change it up again!

Y'all just have to put up a tree this year. i am sure molly will love it and have so much fun helping with it or at least get her a little one or something! We will be putting ours up on Tuesday when my sister comes to stay with us because... well.. my hubby is not into it either!

You know I am so proud of you and your counseling business. I know that you will help so many people!

I have bought many, many bedding sets between the 3 girls. Some character, some not, but I always stick with Target/Walmart because then I don't feel obligated to keep their room the same colors/theme forever.

We usually don't put up our Christmas tree until after Thanksgiving, because by Christmas, I am so ready for it to be gone. It just starts to make my OCD self go a little crazy with all of it being all over the house after awhile.

I'm off to check out the etsy shop now! I am determined to try and do most of my shopping online this year!

You sound just like me with the bedding, only I'm looking for a baby. . . . but I'm definitely not into characters at all. And then I worry about things being a fad and not cute in a couple of years.

Congrats on your business! I'd love to pick your brain sometime offline about Christian counseling. I'm really interested in that myself.

Congrats on your new business - what a blessing for you and your family! We haven't put out Christmas decorations yet...I'm waiting till after Thanksgiving cuz I LOVE to decorate with a fall theme too. We're not planning on doing a tree this year, since we'll be going to Michigan to visit my hubby's family...and my daughter would probably knock it over, or pull all the ornaments off, or eat the needles...the joys of having a toddler! ;)

How awesome about your new business! Congrats!

I'm not into characters at all either. My little girl won't have them on her big girl bed one day either :)
