Life As Of Late...

I can not believe it is Wednesday already!  I feel like time has literally been flying by me...and the things I want to say or do go right with it!  I figured the easiest way to get caught up would to make a good old fashioned list of what has been going we go!

-I had my 6 week check-up on Monday...I passed with flying colors, so no more excuses for not working out...I am cleared to exercise, boo-hoo, I mean, hooray.
-Speaking of exercising, we did not renew our gym membership this year.  A little sad, more for Eric than me.  He made a lot of friends and connections there, and Molly loved the pool.  But we want to save for a van, and paying for the gym was not going to help us save.  Instead we are going to work out at home, and to help us is our new Wii Fit Plus.  I am very excited to use it!  Even if it told me my Wii Fit age is 41?!  I am not good at the balance thing they test you on, plus I had a screaming baby in the background as my defense for doing so poorly.  Then when it gets nice outside I can't wait to go for walks and runs with all the trails around here.
-With the whole losing weight thing...I have 13 pounds to go until I am back at my starting weight before Lucy came along.  I would still like to lose 5-10 more after that, but lets not get ahead of ourselves :)  If anyone has used the Wii Fit and has any suggestions, or has any favorites on there, I am all ears!
-Lucy has started not enjoying the hours of 4-8pm.  Every night seems to be rough during that block of time.  I have no idea what changed, but she is not a happy camper then.  How do you know if it's colic?  She is fine all day, it's just that time lately.
-We have not really fallen into a routine or anything...part of me wants to, and the other part is trying to go with the flow.  Each day has been different for us, and it's harder to set a rigid schedule with a 3 year old that gets stir crazy very easily, and sometimes we need to just get out of the house!  But that messes with the whole setting a nap time, etc.  Suggestions for those of you who have or are there?
-I am officially back to work next week.  I have been going into the office for meetings the last couple of weeks, and I am of course there every Sunday, but come Monday, Eric is home with the girls, alone!  I am sure he will do great, plus I am convinced kids act better for the parent that is not normally with them all of the time.  So he should have no problems :)
-Speaking of going back to work...that means on Tuesdays Molly and Lucy will be going to a babysitter...I am trying to psych myself up for leaving Lucy, and it's just not happening yet.  I am leaving them with my best friend here, so it's not like I am worried about anything, but it's still hard.  I thought the second time around would be fine, but it might be harder than the first since time seems to be flying by so quickly.
-My mom is coming to visit tomorrow, hooray for grandmas!
-Come back tomorrow for Lucy's birth story!  I figured it has almost been 6 weeks and I should write it soon before I forget!  Just kidding about the whole forgetting part, yeah right!  I really want to tell you all how much your prayers and thought were with us that day and also to write it out and show her someday.

I think that's all for now!  Molly has been asking for lunch, so I should probably make her something :)  Have a great day!!

I hear you on the weight thing. I'm not motivated. I weighed myself the other day & was sure you're supposed to drop more than that after having a baby! I guess I'm rushing things.

I have a Wii Fit that I got last year & never used. LOL! I'm hoping to use it this time as soon as my 6 weeks is up. Maybe we can motivate each other. :)

Molly is 7 months old today and I'm still not exercising!?!?! Isn't that AWFUL??!?!? Grrrr....

We got a Kinect, and I'm hoping I can get some work outs in with that.

Anywho. . . I've been the go-with-the-flow momma when it comes to schedules. I can't imagine how to recommend doing it with two. So, go ahead and figure that out and let me know! K? :)

It was fun reading about what you've been up to! I need get the wii fit thing too. Let me know how you like it! My age would probably be like 62 on there. Haha! It's been 4 years since I had my baby, so I guess it's time for me to start working out. LOL!!!!!!! I've always been a go with the flow type mom, especially with 3, so my kids always just napped when they could or would, which was hardly ever unless they just happened to fall asleep in the car. That's always fun when you get them all ready to go somewhere and then you get there and turn around and they're asleep! Ha!

Hope you have lots of fun with your Mom :) Love ya!

Glad to hear you guys are doing so well! It's funny, with us, Jace needed the routine to function, and Jaelyn was very much the opposite - she didn't get cranky when she was that little, ever, and would fall asleep without any kind of rocking or other stuff.. so we ended up scheduling around him more than her, even though he was the oldest. Do what works - you know your family best.

As far as colic goes - I am praying that little Lucy doesn't have it! Jace was colicky... it's hard to tell, especially at first. Jace was inconsolable for hours at a time - mostly at night. Truly inconsolable - wouldn't take a bottle, wouldn't fall asleep, didn't want to be rocked, or talked to, or anything.. I am pretty sure I wore a path in our carpet from carrying him around and trying to console him each and every night.

However! Many of the signs are similar to babies with acid reflux, so if it continues, you may want to ask about that at your next appointment to be sure. Because while there is really not much you can do for colic, I believe there are things you can do if it is acid reflux.

Love you guys!

Glad the 6 wk checkup went well and you passed! :) Lainey is almost 4 months and I'm still not exercising! I could really use a little toning up. That's great you got a Wii Fit! Maybe I need that!

We gradually got into a routine around here and now it's nice to have one but in the first month or so I just went with the flow.

Oh girl! I remember those days!! No sleep..tired...trying to lose weight....etc etc...LOL!

SOmedays....just surviving is all ya gotta do girl! Don't feel so pressured to be in a routine, though routines are great once you get them all figured out.

You will get there I promise! And I am praying for you as you leave the girls. :(

Loved reading your update! I am soooo ready to start exercising again! We got a Wii Fit Plus for Christmas and it said my age was 39!! :( My excuse is that I was 40 weeks pregnant, my balance was off. Ha! I love the hula hoop games, the stepping one (it's like in aerobics, I think), running, and yoga - those are just what I did between Christmas and when Levi was born. Can't wait to get back to it!

Lily has always functioned better when she's on a schedule - a flexible schedule. We get out and about, but we try to be home for naptimes. It just makes for a happier little girl and a better evening for all of us.
