Thankful

I was originally going to post about the great gifts my mom got me for my birthday, but plans changed.  Eric has been sick since Saturday night.  Thankfully not like stomach sick, this lady can only handle so much, and that is not something I am good at handling!!  He has the cold virus going around.  Nothing you can do for it other than wait it out.  And pass it on to your kids...that's what Eric decided to do.  I guess he is teaching them a life lesson about sharing, ha.  So taking care of two sick kids and a husband has been my role the past couple of days.

One thing I have really realized these past couple of days is how truly spoiled and blessed I am to have a husband that does a lot.  I know how to shovel the driveway, but Eric usually takes care of it for us, but on Sunday, I shoveled the drive that was covered with snow and ice and it made me sooo thankful that I don't have to do that on a normal basis.  When trying to take care of 2 kids at the same time it made me realize all the times I get upset that Eric doesn't do more, I need to remember all the things that he does do, and the chores he does help me with.  Because when I am missing that help, it really shows!  I feel like an octopus missing some arms without Eric around.

So tonight I feel a little stressed, a little emotional, and very thankful for a husband who really is amazing and helpful.  So I leave with you these...

I hope everyone is feeling better soon! I realized how much Morgan does too, once he started going to school at night. It is good to be reminded of these things, I guess :) I just love all those pictures of the girls!!!

I echo your sentiments. My hubby does a lot and I always miss his help when he's not around. I should tell him more often how much I appreciate him and all he does
