Birthday Recap

Sunday was my 28th birthday :)  Feeling a little bit old now!  Sunday was incredibly busy for us...we were up and out the door at 6:45am to stop and pick something up for church, got to church, set-up, did two services, tore down, went to Home Depot to get some stuff for the event later for church, ran thru Arby's for lunch {yumm!}came home, ate cake, opened presents, went back to church for our one year anniversary campaign event, came home, and sat down for the first real time at 9:15pm.

What a crazy, sorta out of the ordinary day for us, but it was filled with lots of love, laughter, cute cards, beautiful presents, and wonderful memories.  I don't really have any actual birthday pictures, but I do have other pictures I am going to share that my mom took.  I was happy to have my mom and Phil here for my birthday, but also incredibly happy they were able to watch the girls on Sunday when it was a crazy Sunday.  Not having to stress about the girls and keeping them entertained made the stressful day a little less stress filled.

I will have to take a picture, just don't have time right this second, but Molly made me a card, my heart was filled to the brim with joy.  Sher drew our family, which is always funny to see how little kids interpret what you look like, and on the inside she wrote "Happy Birthday, I love you Mom."  Definitely a keeper!  Molly picked out a necklace with matching earrings for me, and she got me a picture frame.  Eric got me a gold chain which I have been wanting.  For our first Christmas many moons ago Eric got me necklace with a diamond heart pendant on it, then later when we were in Kauai, he got me a plumeria flower pendant.  Well, my gold necklace broke after one too many tugs from kids.  So my neck has been bare for awhile.  Although I love wearing other fun necklaces, I missed wearing those charms.  So I now have a new, stronger gold chain to wear around my neck.  I was so excited and still get giddy putting on the necklace.  My parents printed my blog off into a book, it's a tradition now, I get the previous year printed for my birthday.  It was fun going back and looking at Lucy each month, she went from 1 month to 1 year old!  And I got some other awesome gifts, too.

It was a fun, memorable birthday.  I was surrounded by lots of love :)

Now, pictures from my mom's trip here this last visit...

I LOVE all the pics!! I am so glad you had a great birthday! I wish I had gotten a gift sent to you. I'm not too proactive these days. :( I love that Molly made you a card. Those are the best kind of gifts! Oh, and you are still so young! I will turn 36 this year. Yikes! Now, that's old! Haha!

I love that your parents get your blog from the past year printed on each birthday. That is such an awesome idea. AND i love that Molly made you a card as well. Those really are the best!

Glad you'll be able to wear your charms again :)

I've thought about printing my blog into a book but just can't decide whether I really want to.
