Just a little boring post...

This is just a little boring post to catch up on life...

I realized yesterday that it had been over a week since I last posted, whoops :)  We are not really that busy, just busy enough.  Molly has about a month of school left, so all the final projects, concerts, awards, etc. is happening now.  She is getting very excited about starting kindergarten this fall.  I am feeling a little nostalgic and excited.  Molly is doing a kindergarten prep for 8 weeks this summer at her school.  It starts when school ends and goes through July.  She will go two times a week for a couple hours in the morning.  Just enough to keep things fresh, but not overwhelming.  Her teacher will be her teacher for the summer school program, so we are very excited.  Molly's teacher just got back from maternity leave, so we are excited to spend some more time with her.

Lucy is as funny and crazy as always.  She is really into coloring, every color is purple to her.  You can correct her, she will repeat the right color, but then it's purple again.  With my new job comes a new schedule.  I am not necessarily gone more than when I was working for the church, but it's more spread out, if that makes sense.  So Eric is home with the girls all day Monday, and half a day on Wednesdays and Fridays.  So it has taken us some getting used to.  Molly has had the hardest time with it.  She cries and gets upset when I leave or that I only take and pick her up from school 2 times a week, instead of the 4-5 times a week I used to.  It breaks my heart listening to her.  But I am extremely thankful Eric is home when I am not.  Hopefully some day our girls will look back and think that was pretty admirable of him to do.  My dad used to have Fridays off, and every Friday he took me to McDonalds for breakfast when I was in elementary school, and I thought that was the neatest thing ever.  Hopefully our girls think the same of Eric.

Molly's lip is totally healed, thank you, Jesus!  Her elbow and knee are still scraped up pretty badly, but they don't seem to bother her too much.  When you look at her there is no evidence of the fall, no bruise, no scar, nothing.  I am so happy!  And thankful!

I have ran every other day for the last 2 weeks.  I have even started getting up early, like between 5-5:30 to run.  I am just getting to the point where in the first mile I don't feel like I am going to die.  I am up to 4 miles now.  Trust me, I never thought I could ever run 4 miles, let alone going for 5!  I tried for 5 on Mother's Day, but by mile 4.7 I literally had no saliva left in my mouth!  I ran in the afternoon and it was hot.  So I really think I am not used to the heat or getting dehydrated so fast.  Hopefully this Sunday I can do 5 miles.  I still have a long way to go to get to 13.1 miles, but I am feeling good about what I have done so far.

For Mother's Day we planted some flowers in our window boxes, and in some pots.  We also had to replace and add a couple new plants/bushes to our front landscaping.  It is so nice to pull up to our house and see some color!

Hopefully you all had a great week last week and a great weekend!  Tomorrow I am going to post a great breakfast recipe that is quick and easy!  Have a great day!

I think Molly will def appreciate having her daddy around like you did. They can have their own little special tradition with each other.

So glad everything is healing well after the fall for Molly!!

That's so awesome you are running. :)
